Meet The Owner

Meet Melanie Rivera, the heart behind The Child Care Learning Academy. With over 13 years in law enforcement with The Rochester Police Department, Melanie’s journey from ensuring community safety to nurturing young minds has been profound. As a parent herself and equipped with a Master’s degree in Science specializing in child development and behavioral science, Melanie’s passion for education and child advocacy flourished during her tenure as an Adjunct Professor at Monroe Community College. This passion led her to establish The Child Care Learning Academy in May 2023, dedicated to creating a nurturing environment where children thrive and build a strong educational foundation for a bright future.

Our Teacher

Coralys Montijo Torres

our Lead Assistant at The Child Care Learning Academy. Coralys has a strong background in early childhood education and specializes in Early Intervention & Special Education. Fluent in bilingual, Spanish, and proficient in sign language, she brings valuable experience in preschool education. Coralys is dedicated to fostering children’s development through engaging activities that promote fine and gross motor skills. She approaches each child’s learning journey with patience and is committed to providing nurturing care to all children, including those with special needs.

Aleigha Bussey

Aleigha Bussey brings her extensive childcare experience and nurturing care to our team. As a mother of two, Aleigha understands the importance of a safe, loving, and engaging environment for children. She is dedicated to supporting our daycare’s mission by providing attentive and compassionate care, fostering a positive learning atmosphere, and assisting in the development of fun and educational activities. Aleigha’s hands-on experience and warm personality make her a valuable addition to our daycare family.
